With winter upon us the watercress always slows down and becomes difficult to pick. Last year I did soldier on in rain and snow but this year I decided to let it be. Today I went down to have a geezer and see how it was doing. What a sight met my eyes! The stream that my main watercress supply is on runs off my local dam. When I came here we were in drought and the dam was at 10% capacity, now after two excellent seasons it is overflowing!
Not to worry, it is natures way of flushing out all the loose floating weed that was becoming a bit of a problem. The watercress will come back better than ever. I took a video for you to look at.
